Shelford Progress Association
Volunteers who work to represent the Shelford community
The Shelford Progress Association is an incorporated body made up of elected and interested volunteers who work to represent the Shelford community.
Meetings are held 4-5 times a year to discuss specific event coming up, any projects underway, or other general business. All meetings are open to the community with new people always welcome. Meeting dates are shown on the Community Calendar.

We host, support, and participate in events that promote community participation, with any profits raised being channelled into community projects.

The Progress Association hosts a couple of annual events:
-
Australia Day ceremony and breakfast.
-
End of year BBQ.
We also take on a coordination role for the Community Planning process - not owning all the projects, but providing a framework where anyone who wants to progress an idea is supported to do so.

As a partner in the Shelford Duck Race, a share of the event's profit helps the Progress Association allocate funds to projects captured in the Community Plan.

The Progress Association has two good-quality 6mx3m walled marquees available for use within the area. They are free to community groups and have a hire fee of $50 each for private or commercial uses.
Community Post Boxes

The Shelford Progress Association offers residents the use of private Post Boxes.
Community Planning
