Community Post Boxes
The Shelford Progress Association offers residents the use of private Post Boxes
Homes in the Shelford township do not have the roadside delivery service offered to those in the outlying areas. The Community Post Boxes offer an alternative to collecting all mail from the Teesdale Store.

For residents who hold a Post Box, their mail is delivered by Australia Post contractors to their Post Box located at the Postal Hub in the centre of the Shelford township. Where something does not fit in the Post Box a card is left advising the parcel is available for collection at the Teesdale Store.

Use of a Post Box can be secured with a one-off fee of $110 (subject to availability).

When you no longer need the Post Box (eg leaving the district) you return the keys and receive a $30 refund.​​​​​​
